Tata Cuts Nine-Figure Trade Secret Verdict by $42 Million (1)

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. owes a DXC Technology Co. unit $168.5 million in damages for misappropriating trade secrets, plus $25.8 million in prejudgment interest, following a November jury verdict, a Texas federal judge ruled.

Judge Brantley Starr of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas entered final judgment Thursday, decreasing the jury’s $210 million award against TCS for willful and malicious appropriation of Computer Sciences Corp.’s confidential information involving two insurance software platforms.
