Throughout eight seasons, Summer House has been filmed in numerous locations in the Hamptons. Occasionally, the series even tapes in various boroughs in New York City. When it comes to the castmates' shared summer home, they stay in Water Mill, New York, located in the town of Southampton. This has served as the primary residence for the Summer House cast since Season 6. According to Hedges, the 6,500-square-foot lavish home is worth an estimated $5 million and features seven bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms.

As previously mentioned, the Water Mill property has been inhabited by the Hamptons housemates for the last three seasons of Summer House. On the Season 7 premiere of the series, Kyle explained the cons of the house at the time.
"The Hamptons: known for old money, also old laws. Our house just so happens to be zoned for five bedrooms — not nine," Kyle shared, noting that "four of the bedrooms" were "not useable," resulting in many of the cast having to share bedrooms. Fast-forward to Season 8, Kyle along with his other friends, were delighted to see that the Hamptons home received a few upgrades. In Episode 1, Danielle informed Paige, Gabby, and Ciara that the house had been "rezoned" to accommodate more bedroom space for everyone.
